T.J. Newton Discovers Himself
Unbelieved, unseen, and unheard by people he is, man becomes Thomas Jerome Newton. Driven by a lack of parental and peer affection, he becomes self-obsessed, asocial, and isolated. He becomes a martyr of his own pursuit trying to prove his worth through his own efforts. Ironically, his pursuit for validation and connection further places him in an ostracized and isolated state. His self-made world validates him instead offering a solution or counter to his fear of socialization. He becomes completely absent of true faith and love. Absent of connection with others.
He must learn connection and love is only found by having faith in the unseen and unbelieved.
